9,95 €
Description:
The new Dos Déus vermouth explore the traditions of northern Europe such as the wellknown "mulled" or "glüh wine", a hot spiced wine enjoyed in winter, and gives them a Mediterranean perspective, focusing in our the taste for drinks with a drier and bitter finish like vermouth. For this, vermouth is used as a base and two versions have been created. The Mediterranean, with 100% aromas of the Mediterranean winter and the Nordic.
Dos Déus Mediterranean is made by a long process of maturation in different containers: the vermouth aged in the old Sherry soleras is combined with the macerations of different botanicals in demijohns let to rest in the sun to expand its spicy bouquet.
The base is Dos Déus vermouth, made with red wine from the region, carefully mixed with a large proportion of Alpine, Mediterranean and Oriental spices that, previously, have been macerating for months in cold (cold brew style). This spicy botanical extract spends months in demijohns outdoors under the influence of heat and cold, on the patio of the Bellmunt winery until the Master Distiller achieves the exotic sensations and density desired.
These mulled vermouths are surprising for their aromas and flavors, which merge the exquisiteness of the traditional Dos Déus vermouth, with an intense spicy profile and new soft sweet flavors. The elegance of this new formula lies in the maturation of the vermouths in Jerez de Oloroso barrels, which provide the complex notes of nuts, while the maceration in demijohns provides the most spicy notes. Skillfully and creatively uniting these methodologies, their contrasts create the limited editions of the Dos Déus Mediterranean Mulled Vermouth that are distinguished by being a smooth vermouth thanks to the aromas of orange peel, coffee, vanilla, absinthe, nutmeg and raisins.
Tasting notes
Dos Déus vermouth mulled is bottled at 15% abv.
It is recommended to heat them up to 75ºC (heated in cups for 45-60 seconds in the microwave at 700W, as if it were a hot coffee or tea).
To fully enjoy them, let them cool little by little to discover the entire range of flavors and layers of aromas. As the temperature decreases you will enjoy it to the fullest. In the case of the Mediterranean, it is suggested to serve it with two coffee beans.
- It stands out for being deep red and very bright.
- On the nose, aromas of cinnamon, orange and an exuberant range of citrus fruits with a background of chocolates can be found, inviting you to take it to the mouth.
- On the palate, it keeps a perfect balance between bitterness, sweetness and acidity, which gives it breadth and harmony.
- Once heated, the aromas vary. The richness of nuances that can be appreciated is spectacular: lemon peel, vanilla, and a point of cloves that evoke the old concoctions.
- On the palate, the sweetness rises and surrounds the typical bitterness of the infused aromatic plants. The final feeling with the warmth in the chest is serenity, calm and inner peace.
Seved cold:
This vermouth can also be served cold, and stands out for a sense of "cold brew" coffee with a bitter and spicy finish. Dos Déus Mulled is also an ideal product for cocktails as it allows them to be balanced (due to their bitter character) and play with soft aromas that are very attractive to the consumer (coffee, chocolate and rhubarb).
This contrast of aromas and textures will surprise consumers looking to experience new sensations for their moments of pleasure.
